Your partner in automated
    containerized bulk handling

Making your bulk freight suitable for intermodal transport, Carlstein Containers offers specialised shipping containers and lifting equipment for Containerised Bulk Handling (CBH)

    Containers

The containers are based on the 20', 30', 40' or 45' ISO standard, but can be adapted to transport-specific requirements. There is a choice of containers with removable lid or flexitop, rear or side flaps for tipping unloading or special containers for transporting hazardous goods or steel coils to name a few. The containers have one thing in common: stability. Designed for tough use in mining, they have to withstand the stress of container rotation in particular.

    Wide body Container

For low density material we may deliver wide body containers in various sizes (length, width, height) according to your requirements.

    Handling Equipment

Standardized Containers - Key to intermodal transport and automation

The first and last mile have a massive impact on the efficiency of transport chains. This also includes a fast unloading process to improve the cycle time of the round trips. With our rotary unloading system, projects can be implemented within a short period with no need for investments in silos, etc. Thanks to mobility, the unloading unit can be quickly relocated to other sites if required.

    Lid Lifter

Lid lifter may be delivered as a separate tool for a reach stacker to open the steel lid for loading or as an integrated part of a revolver to remove a lid and after rotating of the container replace the lid.

    Railway Wagons

Rail transport is often an essential component of intermodal transport. The selection of the optimal container wagon is one of the decisive factors for the economic efficiency of the transport chain. Based on our many years of experience in rail logistics, we can advise you on the selection of container wagons, check availability and implement rail transport.
